ORVIA Oversight

For organisations and commissioners

See beyond the report placed in front of you.

A report tells you what someone chose to tell you, in the format they chose to tell it. That is not dishonesty — it is how reporting works. But when a decision matters, you need to know how far the reported position sits from the operational one.

Three positions, rarely identical

What you are told, what is recorded, what is happening

Where it comes fromWhat we do with it
Reported positionProvider returns, self-assessment, board papers, contract monitoring submissionsTaken seriously and read in full — then treated as a claim to be examined, not a finding.
EvidenceThe underlying records, decision trails and correspondence that should support the reportTraced line by line. Where the report and the record diverge, we show you exactly where.
Operational realityHow the service runs on an ordinary day, described by the people running itCompared against both. The distance between the three is the finding.

Our role

Independent, and clear about what that means

We are independent of both sides

We are not your enforcement arm and we are not the provider’s defence. Our report reads the same whichever of you commissioned it.

We hold no statutory power

We are not a regulator or a public authority. We cannot compel disclosure, impose conditions or make findings of fact in law.

We work from what exists

Records, decision trails and the accounts of the people involved. Not speculation about motive.

We write for decision-makers

Referenced, dated, and short enough that the person who has to act on it will actually read it.

We say when we cannot tell

An honest ‘unable to determine’ protects a decision far better than a confident guess.

You own the output

The pack is yours. No lock-in, no ongoing fee to keep access to your own report.

Not sure where to start? Most people are not.

Thirty minutes with us, free, no obligation and no sales script. Tell us what is going on and we will tell you what we can do, what we cannot, and roughly what it costs — before you commit to anything at all.
